Remember Me

It's been four months and two days since David was murdered. His body was found Dec 2, 2016. There are times in our lives that may not go so well or turn out differently than we planned. But even that is expected. What is not expected is for your child to go missing - and then found murdered - and then find out the circumstances and who was involved. Murder - it's death. It is final. There are no "re-dos" or "do-overs" or "oops."
Our David is gone. We have a long way to go to get through the trials, the sentencing, and then whatever follows. And we have a long way to go with the healing - for us as individuals and as a community. As you go on about your life, please think about what took place here, what happened to a beautiful and amazing 16-year old. I have been constantly amazed and reminded of the good in people. This is what touches me and gives me strength.
I wrote a piece for "The People's Paper" in an attempt to thank people while sharing a bit of our story. I plan to submit a piece each month. Your support, words, prayers - it goes a long way. Please click to read a little bit about "The Search."
